Neuroethology research for whole-brain-emulation (netholab.com)

The rapid advance of deep learning in the 21st century provides unprecedented opportunities for advancing our understanding of the brain.  One of the most exciting opportunities is to advance  Whole-Brain-Emulation (WBE) research - the framework for measuring, modeling and emulating biological nervous systems in digital environments.

WBE paradigms can be developed that are theoretically and experimentally sound and that can provide a new way to conceptualize neural dynamics from the whole-organism perspective (more soon).

The neurotech to significantly advance WBE is largely available and rapidly improving. Standardizing and integrating these technologies also offers opportunities for developing research frameworks for basic science as well as psychiatric and degenerative disorder research (more soon).
